How to Troubleshoot Windows Explorer does not Displaying Thumbnail

Some time ago, one reader at kompternya FastnCheap having problems, here are excerpts of questions sent to the author via email.

Hello, I recently upgraded to Windows 7 a month, for some reason all of a sudden my Windows Explorer does not display thumbnail images for files and folders. When I change the type of display the thumbnail, it looks just drawing a blank, but when I open the app photo manager image is clear. Please help, thank you.

Thanks to our friends who have submitted questions to the team of writers FastnCheap, now the problem he has done, and to assist readers who are experiencing similar problems, here's tips and troubleshooting Windows Explorer suddenly not displaying thumbnails.

• Open Windows Explorer and click the Organize right in the upper left corner of your screen, then select Folder and search options .
• Now click the tab menu View and make sure you uncheck the option Always show icons, never thumbnails . Then click Apply and finally click OK .

With the above actions, your problem should now have been resolved, but in certain circumstances the problem proved to be increased because of the choices  Folder and search options not found. Do not panic, there are two ways that you can try.

• Run the function Run and type  sysdm.cpl and then click enter, this step will open the system properties. Click the menu tab Visual Effects and make sure you check the option, show icons instead of thumbnails . Finally click the Apply and OK

Problems loss thumbnails in Windows 7 is a common, possibly inadvertently altered settings or because of a bug that is often found in Windows 7 and 8.
